-product design, packaging designFacial expressions, crucial in social and cultural contexts as a form of "paralanguage," convey rich information about individual personality, emotions, motivations, and intentions. Beyond mere emotional displays, facial expressions serve as vital signals, transmitted through behavior, offering essential cues for social coordination. Reading facial expressions has become pivotal for understanding others and navigating social life. Simultaneously, individuals may intentionally disguise their expressions or use specific ones understood only by a particular audience, enhancing the illegibility of these cues. In this project, the focus is not on decoding this illegibility but on inviting the audience to recognize and uphold its intrinsic value.
Emolex, a character system, allows users to personalize combinations for creating emoticons that convey specific emotional information, fostering shared understanding when shared with specific individuals.
面部表情作为一种 "辅助语言"，在社会和文化环境中至关重要，它传递着有关个人性格、情感、动机和意图的丰富信息。除了单纯的情绪表现之外，面部表情还是一种重要的信号，通过行为传递，为社会协调提供重要线索。阅读面部表情已成为理解他人和驾驭社会生活的关键。与此同时，个人可能会有意掩饰自己的表情，或使用只有特定受众才能理解的特定表情，从而增强了这些线索的可识别性。在这个项目中，重点不在于解码这种难以辨认性，而在于邀请观众认识并维护其内在价值。
Emolex 是一个字符系统，用户可以通过个性化的组合来创建表情符号，从而传达特定的情感信息，在与特定的人分享时促进共同的理解。
