Today, the main audience for City-Pop music is the Gen-Zs, and in recent years new variants of City-Pop have emerged, such as Vaporwave and Future Funk.
This music, which originated in East Asia but is played on Western instruments, encompasses a wide range of cultural genes and inspires a specific visual expression of the genre.

For this project, I infused City-Pop music and the visual elements that go with it into a mobile app that aims to create a space with endless weekend nights for users to have fun. The project was designed at a time when Covid-19 was in its second outbreak, so the activities of young people were limited, and the mobile app provided users with the ability to interact with their friends online, thus fulfilling part of their need for socialization.

In addition to this, I planned a small party for my friends and designed a series of items for this party, so that my friends could feel the pleasant atmosphere of HEDOCITY.


当今,City-Pop音乐的主要受众群体是千禧一代。近年来,城市流行音乐呈现出一些新的变体,如Vaporwave和Future Funk。而这种发源于东亚却采用西方乐器演奏的音乐,囊括了多种文化基因,也激发了属于该音乐风格的特定视觉表达。

在这个项目中,我将City-Pop音乐和与其风格相符的视觉元素注入一款手机应用中,该手机应用旨在为用户营造一个拥有无尽周末夜晚的娱乐空间。设计该项目时正值Covid-19二次爆发的时期,因此属于年轻人的活动受到了极大限制,该手机应用也为用户提供了好友线上互动的功能,以此满足用户对于社交的部分需求。

同时,我根据该项目策划了一个属于好友间的小型派对并为此派对设计了一系列物件,让好友们能够感受到独属于HEDOCITY的愉悦氛围。
