The title of this project is "I'm the only one here, I hope", which implies the desire of women in certain social contexts to be free from male harassment and violence, and to break away from the restrictions imposed on them by patriarchal society. This project uses the situation of the female dragonflies as a metaphor for the status of women in today's society, continuing the concept of the previous printed material project, where the fates of the human female and the female dragonflies are connected.

In this work, I have been searching for a balance between the female dragonfly as the subject of visual design and the bearer of metaphorical meaning. Even though female dragonflies appear to be in a minority and vulnerable position in the population, and they are often "passive" or "coerced" in mating and reproduction, this is mostly a human interpretation of the behavior of the dragonfly species based on behavioral norms in human society. In this case, the context cannot be directly set as "female dragonflies are persecuted by males in the population", so it is more appropriate to take female dragonflies as a metaphor and symbol. Thus, the subject of the concept has shifted from female dragonflies to human females, and mating behavior in dragonfly species is associated with the topic of feminism.

To fit the theme, I tried to avoid the female dragonflies appearing alone in the video, and in the process of shooting footage, I used the dragonfly pendant from the previous material test to mimic the female and male dragonflies in flight trying to mate, making them entangled with each other. In addition, by controlling the light, I make the shadows of the two dragonflies constantly overlap and separate, suggesting that the male's entanglement and coercion of the female in the mating process will become an indelible shadow on the female's mind. "I'm the only one here, I hope" shows the weariness of women oppressed by the reality of their situation. However, they do not give up fighting, just like female dragonflies who try their best or find a way to get rid of unwanted mating behavior, even if the chances of success are slim. Therefore, through this work, I also want to convey a vision of women being able to control their own fates.

I'm the only one here, I hope",表现了女性被现实压迫的疲惫。
