[Part I] A.F.A.I.K (As Far As I Know)
In this project, I capture the unfamiliar and weird things on the street from the perspective of an outsider living in New York City and present them in a montage of images and illustrations. I don’t expect to decode these things but simply document and appreciate them.

Have you explored Myrtle Ave in Brooklyn? It's a newfound familiarity for me since arriving in the city. Its well-structured layout and direct routes make it a daily path for me, hopping on the B54 bus from Broadway stop to campus, passing through Myrtle Ave towards Downtown Brooklyn until I reach Grand Ave. Initially, I grappled with the unfamiliarity of the street - from graffiti-laden storefronts to the Hebrew script of the Jewish community and the chaotic construction signs. A friend once shared her apprehension about navigating this route, a sentiment I understand well. It's a reminder of our tendency to approach the illegible with trepidation.

In this part, I have implemented the concept of “Legibility is a dynamic process” by altering the glyphs of each page of my thesis writing. I start with simple and commonly used fonts and gradually move towards more complex and noisy fonts. This approach challenges the audience’s reading habits and perception as they encounter unusual glyphs throughout the process.
在这一部分，我通过改变论文写作中每一页的字形来实现 “可读性是一个动态过程 ”的概念。我从简单和常用的字体开始，逐渐过渡到更复杂和嘈杂的字体。这种方法挑战了受众的阅读习惯和感知，因为他们在整个过程中都会遇到不寻常的字形。
